Doyle Brunson - legend of poker USA.  Born August, 10 1933 in Longworth, Texas.
He is twice world champion. He stood at the origins of poker and even now at 70 years he still continues to successfully compete at tournaments and at cash games. We can enumerate a long time all his tournament winnings. But his greatest achievements are two victories at main tournaments of World Series in 1976 and in 1977. Only Stu Ungar and Johnny Chan could repeat his achievement.
Doyle Brunson has 10 bracelets WSOP (the second result in the poker history) – he won almost at each third tournament. The total Brunson’s winnings are over 5 million dollars.  But, of course, at cash game he won at least twenty times more…
Doyle Brunson was born in Longworth, little town in Texas. He was showing promise as a basketball player and was invited to the club NBA, but an injury received while unloading a truck put the end of sports career. Lameness remains for life.  During the period of recovery after an injury Doyle Brunson learned to play poker, and put all his energy to become the best in this kind of gambling.
His hard way to success, fame and money, he described in detail in the autobiographical parts of his books “Doyle Brunson Super System” and “Doyle Brunson Super System 2″. For many people this game is a lifestyle.  From the British elite game tables poker has moved not only in casinos, virtual casinos, but also in sports.  If the chess is a game for kings, for whom then poker is?  Poker is the game for everyone.  This game is a synergy of luck, logics, strategy, actor game, drama, comedy and crazy excitement.  If the gamblers, who got lucky and hit the jackpot, prefer not to disclose their names, the professional poker players, stars of sports poker, on the contrary, are known all over the world.  So who are they, the best poker players?
Peter Eastgate  is the youngest poker player who has entered the top 10 of WSOP-2008 Main Event. At that, he became champion having broken Phil Helmut’s record, who was the former youngest champion till 2008.  At that time Eastgate was 22 years old! Today his name is in the top 10 of the best poker players all over the world.  At least he is number one in native Denmark, for sure. Stu Ungar (PokerKid) was born 8, September 1953 in East Village.  Phenomenal memory and intuition even at the age of 14th helped him to win everyone who by ignorance sat at the game table with young Stu.  When he became elder, he had one more passion – horse race!  Perhaps, the luck is limited, because all his winnings at poker he lost at horse race.   When he owed one man 60 thousand dollars he left for Las Vegas. In 1980 and 1981 he became champion WSOP and was married. But the endless travel and stress have led him to cocaine.  This was the end of “PokerKid”. Gambling and cocaine were the reason that his wife left him for at 1989 and he lost one million dollars at one football bet. The enlightenment has happened due to WSOP Main Event.  Hardly having collected 10 000$ for buy-in, Ungar get the third victory. So far no one could surpass his achievement of winning three tournaments of World Series.  But after this success he continued to play and as a result he lost everything. He bought everything and moved to the cheap hotel “Oasis” where he died in 1997 at the age of 45.  There are a book “One of a kind” and a film “HighRoller: the Stu Ungar story” telling about the life of this genius gambler.
