Roulette Odds

roulette oddsRoulette is a fairly simple game that gives players a chance to get a significant winning. The ball, spinning in a wheel, consisting of 38 (American) or 37 (European) sections with numbers from 0 to 36, randomly comes to one of numbers. The player’s task is to guess where the ball will stop on the next spin, and place chips on a roulette layout.
Roulette Rules
• There are eight types of bets, which determine European roulette odds:
1. Straight-Up Bets
The chip is placed directly on zero or one of the 36 numbers on the layout.
Roulette Odds: 35 to 1
2. Split Bets
Bet on the adjacent numbers on the layout. The chip is placed on the line dividing the two adjacent numbers. For example, a bet on 2 and 3 (horizontal line) or on 2 and 5 (vertical line).
Roulette Odds: 17 to 1
3. Street Bets(Trio or Three Number Bets)
A bet is made on three numbers, which are located in a horizontal line. The chip is placed on the horizontal line on the top of the layout on one of the columns of three numbers.  For example, 4, 5, 6.
Roulette Odds: 11 to 1
4. Quad  Bets (Corner Bets)
A bet is placed on four adjacent numbers on the layout. For example, 5, 6, 8, 9.
Roulette Odds: 8 to 1
5. Double Street Bets (Six Number Bets)
A bet is placed on 6 numbers located on two adjacent horizontal lines. The chip is placed on the vertical line at the place of contact between two horizontal lines. An example of such bet is a bet on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Roulette Odds: 5 to 1
6. Column Bets
A bet is made on 12 numbers in one of three columns on the layout. The chip is placed in the box at the end of the column.
Roulette Odds: 2 to 1
7. Dozen Bets: 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12
A bet is made on 12 numbers (a dozen). There are three versions of bets: 1 – 12 13 – 24, 24 – 36. The chip is placed on one of these fields: “1st 12″, “2nd 12″, “3rd 12″.
Roulette Odds: 2 to 1
8. Black, Red, Odd, Even, 1-18, 19-36
Betting is made on 18 numbers. You can bet on red or black numbers, “odd” or “even” numbers from 1 to 18 or from 19 to 36. The chips are placed in one of the needed fields.
Roulette Odds: 1 to 1
• Call or announced bets in roulette
In roulette, a player can make the “call” bet – bet on a set of numbers located next to each other on the wheel. There is a special field for them on the layout – “track.”
There are five types of call bets:
1. Neighbors
Bet is made on the number and four of its neighbors on the wheel (two on both sides). If the ball comes to one of these numbers, the player gets one-fifth of the total bet on the neighbors and the winning, the remaining part of the total bet loses.
Roulette payouts: 35 to 1
2. Zero spiel or Zero game
Bet is made on the numbers closest to zero: 12, 35, 3, 26, 32, 15. The player wins if the ball comes to any of these numbers.
Roulette payouts:
a) If the winning number is 26 – you get 35/4 of the total bet
b) if the winning numbers are 12, 35, 3, 0, 32 or 15, then you get 17/4 of the total bet
3. Voisins du zero (Neighbors of zero)
Bet is divided by 17 numbers: 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, 25.
Roulette payouts:
a) if any of 0, 2 or 3 wins, the player gets 2/9 of the total bet and the winning – 22/9 of the bet, the rest is lost
b) if any of numbers 4, 7, 12, 15, 18, 21, 19, 22, 32 or 35 wins, the player gets 1/9 of the bet and the winning – 17/9 of the bet, the rest is lost
c) if any of 25, 26, 28 or 29 wins, the player gets 2/9 of the bet and the winning – 16/9 of the total bet, the rest is also lost.
4. Le tiers du cylindre (Thirds of the wheel)
A bet on twelve numbers: 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33.
Roulette payouts:
If one of these numbers wins, the player gets one sixth of the total bet on Tiers and the winning – 17/6 of the bet on Tiers.
5. Orphelin (from the French Orphelin – orphan)
Bet is made on 8 numbers (the other two sectors of the wheel outside the Neighbors and Thirds): 17, 34, 6, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9.
Roulette payouts:
a) If the number 1 wins, the player gets 1/5 of the bet and the winning – 35/5 of the bet, the rest is lost
b) if the number 17 wins, the player gets 2/5 of the total bet and the winning – 34/5 of the bet, the rest is lost
c) if any of 6, 9, 14, 20, 31 or 34 wins, the player gets 1/5 and the winning – 17/5 of the bet, the rest is lost.
There is also a special program called roulette odds calculator which can help you to always know your odds. But it would be better for you to learn all this information and make a personal roulette odds chart, uniting all bets, odds and payouts.

Blackjack probability and blackjack odds expalined

Blackjack Odds.

Analysis of Blackjack probability will help you to successfully play blackjack online.
House edge in Black Jack is 5,9%. The probability of dealer’s bust is about 28% with odds of 1 to 3,57. The bust is the sum greater than 21. If a player will play as the dealer (stay on 17 points and take an additional card with 16 points or less), his bust will be at 28% of hands.

There are many winning systems in blackjack online and one of them is called plus-minus card counting system. It was proposed in 1963 by a talented mathematician Harvey Dubner. Here, as in a system of counting of tens, every card that comes out of the deck has its own number. It is quite easy to understand, that the sum of numerical values of 52 cards from a single deck is zero, and the same thing is with the “big deck”. Systems that have similar properties are called balanced systems.

You should watch the cards that come out of the deck and count. Cards from seven to nine can be ignored. If high cards are left (tens and aces), the score is reduced; if low cards (from two to six) are left, the score increases. The system of “plus-minus”, like any well-balanced system has a simple property: if the score is positive, the player’s chances of winning are increasing, and if it is negative – they are falling. Your winnings are directly proportional to the score.

However, the main question remains unanswered: how the score affects to the blackjack odds of winning? When do you need to raise bets? As it turned out, the current score doesn’t have an influence on the answer to these questions.

For calculating the number of cards that came out, you need to learn how to estimate by eye their quantity to the right of the dealer (out-of game cards), so you can at least imagine the estimated number of remaining cards. If your place in the game is next to card box with decks of cards, you can carefully look and see how many cards are left there.
If the score is negative, you should reduce the bets or stop playing at all. Unfortunately, this system has some disadvantages, for example, a low reliability. And as a result a blackjack probability of winning is also low.

Gambling odds explained

Gambling Odds

Each of us, even not gamblers, at least once wondered what it takes to win in a casino, to win a lottery, pari-mutuel? And the answer is clear: luck only. Of course, you need to know the basic rules of the game, have the basic skills required. Still, the main role in this performance is given to luck. So can we win (and keep!) the favour of this whimsical giddy lady, or the task is too complicated for the mere mortals? The question is almost rhetorical and has not found a unique solution so far.
Gambling exists for more than a thousand years, and the number of those willing to learn the secrets of success is not getting smaller. Best minds have tried to bring the scientific basis into the game. The attempts to analyze and estimate the possible outcome of the game date back to early medieval scholars. As a basic material for these studies scholars used the practical observation of dice. In the attempt to prove that it is possible to mathematically calculate the most likely outcome, that any play of chance is natural, they often checked their findings in the theory of gambling … in the game itself.
A little later, these studies were followed by Galileo Galilei, whose calculations are considered by contemporary mathematicians as accurate as if they were made today.

Gambling odds received a new boost in the studies of the French mathematician, physicist and philosopher Blaise Pascal. He already had in his possession many serious findings devoted to the casual, at first glance, topic. And the famous scientist did not disdain such data.
Thus, we can say that gambling served as a basis for the emergence of the probability theory. Actually, this theory, apart from the purely scientific value, continues to help the players familiar with the theory of probability, to apply the knowledge to practice and receive a weighty advantage in the game. That is, by making accurate calculations, one can understand what bet to make, what decision to take in order to succeed in the game.

It is, however, worth to note that the calculations are relevant not for one or two cases, but for a sufficiently long chain of events. In other words, with high probability we can predict only the overall ratio, but not a particular result.
That is, the concept “gambling odds” exists, and has a sufficiently strong scientific foundation, but probably you shouldn’t consider it a magic wand allowing to win always and in everything.

What is Martingale system and how it works? Find out

Martingale system

The strategy of player’s behaviour, regardless of the selected game (card, machine or roulette) may be partly adjusted according to the developed technique or system. Each player can have a few of such techniques at hand. Martingale system became popular with many gamblers because it is simple and easy to remember. The essence of the Martingale roulette system is that in case of a failed outcome of the game, the bet should not be changed, but instead doubled. If you lose 3 or 4 times in a row, you still should follow the rule of doubling the bet. As soon as you win, according to the Martingale system you return your money. Then you need to start from the minimum bet (in many games it is equal to one dollar).

Why is Martingale system good and how does it work?

This technique is applicable in all the games where there are only two options (heads or tails, red and black, and the like). It can be remembered by anyone because there is no chain of successive actions, which depend directly on each other. Many tend to beat the casino using Martingale system, some go with the win, others lose all their investments. The fact is that, as with any other technique, Martingale system is not perfect and does not guarantee one hundred percent winning. Moreover, in real casinos the organizers have long ago studied very well all the possible loopholes, and Martingale system is no exception, the use of such systems is simply not allowed in the gambling establishments.

If we talk about virtual casinos, most online systems are also protected from such actions of players. Some have quite high minimum bets, the other put restriction on the maximum bet. If you use the Martingale system or the like, remember that luck is the only thing that can ensure a good win. In the online as well as in the real casino the black or red can win more than fifteen times in a row. Thus, the Martingale system does not protect you from the loss if you do not expect to invest a tidy sum of money before you get a coveted win.

One of the vivid examples is the player from Wisconsin, who was lucky enough to hit the jackpot worth more than 31 million USD. This luck came after seventeen years of his life, during which he bet on six numbers. The same numbers for 17 years, every week. However, using such lottery system you can spend a lot of money and not catch the luck. In fact, the probability of winning the lottery can not be estimated and calculated mathematically. The virtual system resembling a real drum with lottery tickets generates random numbers.
