Online gambling laws and regulations

Online gambling regulations.

Gambling on the Internet allows people from around the world to bet in online casinos using software developed specifically for online gambling sites. Casino games in online casinos offer the same opportunities which could be found in traditional casinos. Any software that is used by an Internet casino for online gambling is obligatory tested by the federal gambling rules and regulations board. In addition to testing of the software, all Internet casinos must act in accordance with the Code of Conduct, which was adopted by the Interactive Gaming Council (IGC).

The purpose of the IGC is providing consumer confidence in interactive gaming products and services with help of fair and responsible trade guidelines and practices. The IGC is intended to create a forum for people who want to discuss various aspects of online gambling, and to be a defender of the gaming industry. In order to get approval for online gambling, Internet casinos should follow the ten online gambling regulations of the Code of Conduct. These rules include such aspects as consumer privacy, data protection, regulatory compliance, liability,  fair advertising, limiting access of minors, dispute resolution, auditing standards, banking and transaction processing, bonus payments, and others. If Internet casino does not meet any of these gambling regulations, the approval of the IGC will be removed until all rules will be adhered by online casino.

Because there are thousands of Internet casinos, software testing and the IGC Code of Conduct set standards for all casinos providing Internet gambling. Without these gambling rules and regulations online gamblers will have no possibility to value and to trust online casinos.
