Poker Three is a three-card modification of the poker game that consists of two different games – Pair Plus and Ante-and-Play. You can choose to play either one or both of these games.

Objective

The objective of Pair Plus is to receive a 3-card poker hand with any Pair or better, while the aim of Ante-and-Play is to beat the Dealer’s hand by getting a higher 3-card poker hand.

Cards

Poker Three is played with a standard 52 card deck. Cards are shuffled after each game.

The individual cards are ranked in the following descending order: Ace (high or low), King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2. The Ace can be the highest-value card in a straight of A, K, Q, J, 10, or the lowest-value card in a straight of 5, 4, 3, 2, A.

Play

You can play both games at once or participate in either Pair Plus or Ante-and-Play.

Pair-Plus Game

The game starts by placing a Pair-Plus bet. Then click DEAL. Once you have been dealt three cards, your hand is evaluated. If it contains one of the combinations listed in the Pair-Plus paytable, you are paid accordingly.

Hand Payoff
Straight Flush 40 to 1
Three of a Kind 30 to 1
Straight 6 to 1
Flush 4 to 1
Pair 1 to 1

Ante-and-Play Game
To participate in the Ante-and-Play game place an Ante bet. Then click DEAL. Once you have been dealt three cards, you need to decide whether to Fold or to Play.

  • Fold – by clicking Fold you end the game and lose your Ante and Pair Plus bets, if placed.
  • Play – by clicking Play you place an additional stake equal to your Ante. The Dealer’s cards are revealed. Your hand and the dealer’s hands are evaluated.

The dealer qualifies with Queen high or better.

If the dealer does not qualify, your Ante bet is paid 1:1 and your Play bet is returned to you.

If the dealer qualifies, the hands are compared:

  • If the Dealer’s hand beats your hand, you lose both the Play and the Ante.
  • If the Dealer’s hand ties with your hand, the Play and the Ante are returned to you.
  • If your hand beats the dealer’s, both the Play and the Ante bets are paid 1:1.

In addition to normal Ante-and-Play payouts, there is an additional bonus payout on the Ante for especially good hands. If you get one of the hands listed in the Ante Bonus Paytable, you are paid extra irrespective of the Dealer’s hand.

Hand Ranking

  • If you and the dealer have hands of the same type, the hand that includes the card of higher value wins (e.q. 3 Kings beats 3 Queens)
  • If the hands are of the same type and value, the next highest card that is not part of the paying hand, known as the kicker, determines the winner (e.g. 2-2-K beats 2-2-6).
